DON'T UNDERSTAND GOD?

Are you baffled by what the Lord might be doing in your life and in the lives of those around you?  Sometimes we simply cannot get the right perspective.  We want to see the "Big Picture" but we just can't seem to figure it all out.  Perhaps this is one of those times for you.  Be encouraged!  You did not make the world and you do not keep it together.  That is the job of Someone far more powerful and knowledgeable than you.  You always knew that God existed.  Now perhaps this is the time to listen to Him and gain His perspective.  Why not begin with this short prayer and then read and listen to Him speak to you about your circumstances.

Prayer: Lord God, I would like to pray your words back to You in the form of my prayers.  And I would like to ask You to hear them please and honor them.  O God, please help me to understand that Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts.  Help me to accept the fact that I may not always understand Your thoughts and Your ways.  Please Lord, remind me of Your promise that if I will call upon You, You will tell me great and unsearchable things that I do not know.  I would like to pray Your Words back to You now in Jesus' name. Amen.

God, in accordance with Your Word ...

I pray that You, God, will help me to understand that Your thoughts are not my thoughts nor are my ways Your ways. That I will understand that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Your ways higher than my ways, and Your thoughts higher than my thoughts.
